Most accommodations are spacious suites measuring 355 to 710 sq. ft. with full balconies. In addition to the Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, AmaMagna offers Jimmy’s, a family-style restaurant named for AmaWaterways’ late Co-Owner Jimmy Murphy, and the intimate Al Fresco Restaurant, serving up delicious vegetable-forward fare. Both a sun-deck pool and whirlpool invite guests to refresh and enjoy the views, while AmaMagna’s Zen Wellness Studio is an expansive space with a fitness centre, two massage rooms and a refreshing juice bar. A brand-new full-size pickleball court will also be featured on the Sun Deck, debuting in 2023. With several “Best River Cruise Ship” distinctions, Forbes’ 2024 “Best European River Cruise for Active Travelers” and awards for its luxury suites and pickleball court, our innovative flagship designed by the “Godfather of River Cruising” continues to exceed expectations.
Ship is beautiful and very wide so has extras like pool and pickle ball court. Staff are great and very attentive. Excursions were mixed with some rather boring (one castle too many). Did not get to go full way on Danube as water too low but not the fault of the ship. Extension to Istanbul was excellent and hotel there was outstanding. Great hotel (4 Seasons in old town) with wonderful staff. Location of hotel made visiting the Blue Mosque and the Sofia both easily within walking distance. Only 13 of us continued to Istanbul and we arranged to meet before leaving the ship. Guide in Istanbul was very good but was disappointed that she took us to a rug factory one afternoon without really telling us that was where we were going. Should have skipped that sales pitch but the drinks and snacks were good. I had been to Istanbul 40 years ago but more of certain sites had been restored.
I cannot criticise this cruise. Everything was beyond expectations. The exceptional aspect was the staff. They were just amazing-helpful, efficient , very good and you have your personal space. The daily excurcions were amazing and the food cannot be criticised. We had a very enjoyable get away.We did the 7 day cruise and visited Austria, SLovakia. Czechnia. Austria and Germany. they was walking, cycling and buses on excursions that would have cost a fortune if we had arrnaged them ourselves. We are not "foodies"> I can eat just about anythign but the food was beyond belief with a choice of 4 restaurants.There was the chef's table with at least 5 courses and an al fresco section .Our cruise Director was Debbie - a real probnle solver and very efficient. Remmeber to take some cash for the day tours. At the start, I only had a credit card . You need and want to give gratuities..

The Chef’s Table is an intimate specialty restaurant included in the price of the cruise where you can watch the chef prepare a lavish multi-course menu right in front of you. Each dinner at The Chef’s Table is served with complimentary local reds and whites from Europe’s renowned wine regions. There’s also sparkling wine and fresh juice with breakfast, menu service during lunch, as well as delicious tapas and snacks in the Main Lounge between meals. All onboard dining, as well as unlimited wine and beer with lunch and dinner, is included so you can indulge whenever and however you’d like.
With a complimentary fleet of bicycles—and helmets—on board, guests have the opportunity to explore on guided bike tours, or discover a new path all on their own. Guided hiking tours also offer active ways to see grand cities and villages from a different perspective.
AmaMagna offers a variety of venues in which you can unwind and connect with kindred cruisers. Spend time in the sun-deck pool or whirlpool; at any of five onboard bars, including the pop-up sky bar; in one of two fireside libraries or within the chic onboard cinema.
