MSC Virtuosa’s namesake comes from the word virtuoso, meaning someone highly skilled in any field of activity, and so MSC Virtuosa was named to pay homage to the skill and expertise of the MSC Cruises architects and shipyard partners at Les Chantiers de l’Atlantique who designed and built this innovative class of ships. This new cruise ship is one of the two largest in MSC Cruises’ fleet, along with her sister ship MSC Grandiosa, boasting an impressive array of guest features all coming together in perfect harmony to deliver the ultimate cruise holiday experience.
My honest opinion as a frequent traveller, but first time cruiser Sailed from Southampton to Barbados in November. Embarking was easy and simple Sea was very choppy in the channel so you could feel the boat swaying, badly at some points. I had a balcony room, which was a decent size, and had more storage than expected tbh. Room was cleaned twice a day too which was excellent Food wise, there's availability ALL DAY literally! And there is a variety of cusines, so there will be something you will like. After 4pm they do 'afternoon tea' style options, where they also have cake and custard for dessert, which in my opinion should be available in the evenings too but its not. Service generally is ok. They do struggle at busier times to have enough staff to take your drinks order in the main buffet. And there's only 1 main bar. But there was smaller beverage stations in each section, just for water, juice & tea/coffee (free drinks). A suggestion from me would be to allow people to order drinks from their table via a qr code + app to make it easier Entertainment differs every night. There's theatre shows and performances at different times as well to accommodate everyone. During the day there was also other daily activities to keep people occupied Overall, I have enjoyed the experience, but would want to experience Royal Caribbean next to compare the quality
