Cabin Cabin is a great location if you are near an end of the ship. It’s right beside the elevators, but the cabin door is facing a fire door, so no elevator noise and no one across from the cabin. I really liked the huge closet and since the bathroom door opens into the closet, we could keep the bathroom door open. Plenty of storage in the bathroom. The shower curtain was a bit short so the floor kept getting wet. The motion sensor light in the closet is too bright, so a band aid over the sensor kept it off. We covered the beside the bed light sensors with post its. There is a small round table in the room. We moved that into the closet which made the cabin feel larger. I really missed not having a little sofa in the room like other ships. The only seating is a desk chair. A new hair dryer was put in the cabins during the trip. Very nice. Nice having the extended balcony. Nice linens. Multiple outlets on the desk and USB charging in the nightstands. The laundry mat on our deck was clean and worked well. We brought a couple of pods. The dryer I used was really hot. Ship At embarkation we had to wait in line because we arrived, like everyone else, when we had to check out of our pre cruise hotel. Once on the ship, it wasn’t too long before we got into the cabin. At debarkation, I’m glad we had the transfer to the airport. In Copenhagen, there was quite a line for a taxi and not many in sight when our bus drove past. The ship is in decent shape. It is not dinged up like the last ship we were on. It was clean. There were no dishes lying around. It did bother me that several clocks around the ship were the wrong time and many hand sanitizers around the ship did not get refilled, so empty. Don’t expect to get into an early show in the theater unless you are willing to go very early to get seats. Food We do not expect much out of cruise ship food. And even then we were disappointed. Most of the food choices were the same every day. The food has little flavor, including desserts. Almost all meat was tough. The dining room wasn’t much better than the buffet. The only pay restaurant we ate at was the pizza place and there was one salad with no flavor, bland pizza sauce and one dessert. There is no diet caffeine free soda. On the upside, the mashed potatoes at the buffet were delicious. There is a large salad bar and lots of fruit at every meal. The International café is open 24 hours, so great for early morning coffee. It’s unfortunate, but the food is what will stop us from cruising Princess any time soon. Itinerary We were in northern Europe end of May into early June. The weather was great. We weren’t sure we would like a cool weather cruise. We found it was great site seeing wearing a jacket and pants instead of sweating in 80s temps.
From the moment you step aboard, we want you to feel welcomed and right at home. And with attentive service from a friendly staff that knows what hospitality means, you’ll find your Princess® ship truly is your home away from home.
