Loved Alaska and the weather was perfect. I had to warm up to the ship, however, due to having cruised on many Oasis ships over the last few years, as well as Icon of the Seas in August. I was grieving the lack of Central Park and Izumi being even more limited than it was on Explorer of the Seas. HOWEVER, I fell in love with the Anthem when we went into the Two70 lounge. It reminded me of the Aqua theater lounge on the Icon of the Seas, with huge picture windows of the outdoors. Lots of comfortable seating all around, as well. The Two70 small breakfast area was a great place to get my breakfast chai tea latte and a morning pastry, and then sit and look out at the water through the huge windows. I also loved the North Star capsule that gently moves you way up in the air. I had feared it until going on it, thinking it would be a thrill ride. However, I felt like I was on an elevator with a great view. I hadn't intended to post anything, but just tonight, I was looking at the website of a Toyota dealership and then found this very funny ad for Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the photo is of the Anthem of the Seas. I don't think NCL purchased the Anthem from RCCL.
