This thrill-packed ship has endless ways to fill your days between scenery scoping and whoa-worthy memory making. From the shriek inducing Tidal Wave℠, the first boomerang style slide at sea to kid favorite Splashaway Bay℠. Plus the coolest ice rink entertainment and mouthwatering meals at every turn.
My husband and I had a great time on this cruise. Positives: 1. The Christmas decor and ambiance was great 2. The French Onion soup and the Mushroom Risotto are two of my favorites in the Main Dining Room and they had both on this short trip. 3. The stop at Coco Cay is always the absolute BEST experience. We always stay on the island until the last possible minute. 4. Overall our service was very good. 5. The ship's WIFI worked perfectly. 6. Embarkation was a breeze. Only a couple of Negatives: 1. I would give it an excellent rating with the exception of one thing - the carpet greatly needs to be cleaned or replaced. We stayed on deck 10 and while our room was great, the carpet in the hallways you could see the distinct places while you were walking that needed to be cleaned and it was most of it. I will say we heard this ship is getting a complete overhaul/refurb next year in 2026 so I am sure that will be one of the things they do. It would be nice if they added the Mexican food option like on the sister ship Freedom. 2. Too many game show type entertainment options during the time we wanted to go listen to music. The "live" music was not always happening like it has been on other ships we have been on. Or they would all be happening at the same time and then none for like an hour or so. It was an odd way to schedule. There would only be game show options from 10-11 or a dance party in the promenade. No music to go listen to during that hour. So by the time you were waiting or having nothing to do, you almost just decided to be done for the night since those two options were not interesting to us. 3. Don't take your kids to adult karaoke. Most of the time the music and singers were really good and had a good vibe, however, we had two experiences this trip that definitely were not "kid" friendly with a nasty song choice and one with unintended wardrobe malfunction. I felt bad for the two kids parents brought in there. They left with them right after but they had already seen and heard by that time. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed a December getaway!
My cabin was spacious with lots of storage space. I stayed in a balcony cabin and I had more rhan enough space as a solo traveler. The food was absolutely amazing in the main dining and I had any time dining which was a plus. The food in the buffet was good but it was difficult getting to each station as a solo traveler, because seating was limited and it was always crowded. Giovanni's had the best food I have eaten at sea in a while, the portion sizes were enough for two and the food was flavorful and delicious.. The entertainment offered; sail away and white night parties, Halloween custome parade, comedy show, theater performance of Greece and the ice skating show was great. It was an perfect day at Coco Cay with many beaches or pools to go to. I never felt overwhelming crowded. Embarkation was a breeze and the staff was welcoming. Service by the staff was wonderful. I got to have a relaxing yet enjoyable time on my short cruise with Royal Caribbean and would definitely love to sail on another ship in the upcoming year.
We sailed the liberty of the seas for a night night Canada/New England cruise out of Cape liberty New Jersey. We have been on many different cruise lines and cruise ships over the years over 20 and we have not been on Royal Caribbean in quite a few years. The liberty of a sea is still a beautiful ship. She is an older Girl, but she is still beautiful. The weather was chilly and cold most of the time so there was a lot of people indoors. We were able to use the hot tubs quite a bit because people were indoors or not wanting to be out in the cold weather. The promenade is just as beautiful as ever. We went to Giovanni‘s table twice for lunch and it was super. Worth the up charge for lunch. The wind jammer was always busy. It was hard to find a seat. Again it was chilly so I think everybody was trying to stay warm inside. The food on the wind jammer was quite good. The main dining room dinners were good. Food overall across the boards on cruise ships has declined, but it was still tasty. An hour weight staff was fantastic. The state room was an interior room on deck nine and it was very convenient to things. I will say that the state room showed most of liberty of the seas age. There are no Chargers or anything near the bed just to plugs near the mirror. And just overall showing her age. Overall, we had the most fantastic time and we would love to do this itinerary again sometime.
