Wonderful cruise all in all. 8 days maybe too long. The shows left much to be desired. Ate at Giovanni’s ( delish), Izumi ( super delish), Chops ( delish) and the coastal kitchen ( delish), Ues, we are foodies. Also ate at the windjammer ( not delish). Snorkeling in Dominican Republic was super disappointing. Just get off of the ship and enjoy the port area. The baby splash pool also is REALLY ROUGH. The staff aboard are as always really helpful and super hard working. Had a great time at the spa. 2 br aqua suite room, long about day six was covered with soot and the late night aqua show blasted through the space 8:30 and 10:30 5 of the 8 nights. The robot bartender was super fun and the duck hunter was also. We rented a 4x4 in Aruba and went all over the island in the short time we were there.
After traveling on the Wonder of the Seas, our voyage on the Oasis of the Seas was a little bit of a letdown. To begin with, our state room was a little bit dated and showed its age. There was less drawer space, less shelf space, and the lack of USB ports in the cabin. I guess my wife and I got spoiled by the way that the same cabin on the Wonder of the Seas was set up. We felt that the food in the main dining room was also very repetitive, as we have been on quite a few Royal Caribbean Cruises recently. Considering that we are both gamblers, and not smokers, the size of the non-smoking casino, again, as compared to the Wonder of the Seas was awful. They definitely should move the Crown Lounge, as they have done on the Wonder of the Seas, and add to the space and the machines for the non-smoking casino. On the positive side, we both enjoyed the production show in the main theater, the ice-skating show in Studio B, and we thought that the Aqua show was a bit superior to the Wonder of the Seas. We also really enjoyed our dinners at 150 Central Park and Izumi Sushi. The staff and the services on the Oasis was also excellent. One small thing is that the Oasis berthed in Fort Lauderdale as opposed to a longer distance for us in Miami. All things considered we did enjoy our cruise, but would prefer a more updated ship.
