Find new thrills on every deck, like The Perfect Storm℠ waterslides and the tallest slide at sea, Ultimate AbyssOasis℠. Grab bold bites to go at El Loco Fresh® and the first Portside BBQ℠, or cheer on your favourite team at Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade. This is the Amplified Oasis of the Seas® — and the adventure has never been bolder.
Let me start by saying that the Oasis is my favorite class ship. I have also been on the Symphony. I picked this itinerary because I liked having only 2 ports and in the Bahamas. I also liked having 2 sea days at the start and end. I was not used to leaving on a Friday from Bayonne and would have preferred the weekend. Traffic getting into and out of the port was backed up, so give yourself plenty of time, at least an extra hour or two. Ports: In the first port (Nassau), the Nassau Beach Club just opened in Dec 2025 and is amazing. It is all-inclusive and has several sections with pools and a beautiful beach view. It is clean and well laid-out. I chose the Party Cove section which had a DJ and entertainment. There are two other sections, one being quiet and the other being family-oriented. The food was all from concession stands, and in my opinion not as good as the barbeque at Coco Cay. Coco Cay was fun as usual. Weather was great. We tried kayaking. SInce the waters are rough, it was recommended to only go out if you are an experienced kayaker. Good advice! Should have followed it. Chill beach was nice, but the Oasis lagoon is my favorite place. The day that we were there was an election day and only non-alcoholic drinks were served, so check the day of the week you will be there in advance if it matters to you. Entertainment The band Musik Express in the Music Hall was one of the best parts of this trip. If you like to dance, this is the place to be. If you go to the Aqua show, do not sit in the first few rows (learned the hard way). They splash you at the end. My favorite show was One Sky (major production) during the first few days of the cruise. Food The food was average in the main dining room, but the service was excellent. We had 7:30 pm seating which worked perfect. Do not take Anytime Dining unless you do not mind waiting to be seated. It was also nice eating in the main dining room occasionally for breakfast and lunch versus the buffet which I usually prefer. We also ate in the 150 Central Park restaurant, good choice. Layout This ship is easy to navigate. If you want privacy, do not select a balcony room overlooking Central Park or the Boardwalk unless you enjoy people watching. I was happy with a regular balcony room facing the ocean near the stairs and elevator towards the Aft. As a Diamond member, you will be able to use the Crown and Anchor Lounge on Deck 4, not comparable to a Suite lounge if you are in a Grande Suite or higher. The difference between this ship and others is that it is totally open in the middle. Tip: If you are ever looking for the Library, it is not in Central Park where a store is called the Library. It is in the Aft in the Card Playing room, but just has a few old books. Great cruise and I would take it again!
