We did the 14 night Alaska itinerary from Vancouver, transfer to ship and embarkation very good, took about 20 minutes to get on, at 12.30, cabins were ready during lunch, we had a V4 cabin, the walk in closet is tight but lots of hangers and draw space, bath is very small , fine for me but my husband is tall and it’s difficult to get out off, bed is very comfortable , cabins and corridors need a refresh as looking a bit dowdy ! Staff were mostly excellent throughout and drinks flowed well, a couple of slow service nights in main dining room but they were very busy. The main issue is lack of restaurants, there is only the main dining room or Solis for 1 night out of 7, the buffet restaurant is open , tried it 1 night but like a canteen and in my opinion not suitable for 6 star cruising, the other problem is a lowering of standard on evening dining attire, I know we were in Alaska but hoodies and baseball caps have no place in evening restaurant , neither do scruffy jeans , honestly some passengers looked as though they were working on a building site! I did bring this up but they just said people were new to Seabourn and they needed to educate them, they didn’t adhere to the dress code which is smart jeans allowed, I find this disappointing , we enjoy Crystal and Regent and have always loved Seabourn but may have to now reconsider . Excursions were as expected although quite expensive but I know Alaska is like that Entertainment was good Overall we enjoyed ourselves but the food was quite repetitive and more work is needed here
This was our 12th sailing on Seabourn, and have done multiple sailings on Crystal, Regent, and Explora (our point of comparison). Was just what we fell in love with Seabourn many years ago for; great crew and fun fellow passengers, exceptional service, good/sometimes great food, and many memorable moments. Ship was in excellent shape, and officers were social and accessible. Entertainment was better than ever, especially in quality of both guest entertainers and the Seabourn Six, The Band, and the lounge performers. Cabin attendants and quality of bedding and cabin furniture was great. Did not do any excursions so can't comment on that. Chef made a fabulous special meal for us and friends - an Indian Vegan meal that was overwhelming in both qualitry and quantity. In 2024 we felt there were cutbacks and less-than-stellar service; seems like they've smoothed out those problems and have come back to the great experience Seabourn is known for. Already have another sailing booked! Great to see Seabourn delivering as it's marketing messages promise!
An evolution of Seabourn’s oceangoing fleet, this ultra-luxury ship offers 13 categories of oceanfront suites with private verandas, capacity for 600 guests, one additional deck, and an enhanced and central common living space with a reimagined Seabourn Square. Suites range in size from 251 to 1,306 square feet of indoor space, with verandas adding an additional 68 to 960 square feet of outdoor living area. All suites offer sweeping ocean views through the glass doors of their verandas.
