We have just returned from our River cruise with Uniworld on The River Duchess to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. We wanted it to be a special holiday for a special anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. The ship's were beautiful with everything required for our River trip. Room had a large bed with a decent sized room and bathroom. All the necessary toiletries were supplied with lots of towels and band towels. The room was checked and tidied twice daily. The storage was plentiful with lots of hangers. A safe was also available in the wardrobe. The staff were excellent! From the bottom rank to the captain. From the greeting through to the departure, you were made to feel special. The staff just couldn't do enough for you. The food was just so good and it was served by efficient, friendly staff. The bar staff too were very professional. We had several choices of organised trips as we entered several European countries, with high standard guides. They were very enjoyable. Our schedule organiser Merella managed everything with enthusiasm, and kept us up to date with everything we needed to know every day. We had high class entertainment in the evenings, including opera singers in Vienna. My husband was especially delighted with this. We have been on River cruises in the past and this Uniworld trips has definitely come on top for us. We will choose them for our next River cruise trip.
